However, what makes the Afro a strong move for Faust is that it extends the opponents's hurtbox vertically. The afro itself can also become part of character's certain animations as well such as their overdrives or even round/victories if they were to retain it by then. On the other hand, it can hide certain characters's hair attire if they were wereing something before (eg.
The Afro will not change color if the character's hairstyle is the same as the Afro or if the character doesn't have any notable hair to speak of (such as Faust). While it is naturally black, the afro can changed colors to match the character's hair color. When an opponent gets attached with an Afro, it aesthetically changes the character, with the character now wearing an Afro for a limited period of time before it poofs away. An Afro can either be attached to the opponent by an item via What Could This Be? or through Fausts's command grab Snip Snip Snip.
